Terms of service

Last updated 24 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and [Your legal name], a sole proprietor in [Province], Canada, who runs Bluehour at itsbluehour.com ("Bluehour", "we", "us"). By using Bluehour you agree to them. Contact: support@itsbluehour.com.

1. What Bluehour is

Bluehour is a photo editor that runs in your browser. You can edit with the sliders yourself, which is free and unlimited, or ask the AI to edit for you, which uses AI edits.

2. Your account

You need to be at least 16 to use Bluehour. Using the AI needs an account, signed in with your email or Google. Keep your sign-in to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account. One person, one account: making extra accounts to get more free AI edits isn't allowed.

3. Orders and payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Prices are shown before you pay, and Paddle adds any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live.

4. AI edits

5. Subscriptions

Plans renew automatically, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the app; your plan then stays until the end of the period you've paid for. If we change a plan's price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.

6. Your photos and edits

Your photos and everything you make with Bluehour belong to you. We claim no rights in them. You give us permission to process the previews you send to the AI (and photos you choose to enlarge) only to give you the result, as our privacy policy describes. You confirm you have the right to edit the photos you use.

7. About the AI

The AI's edits and answers can be wrong or not to your taste. Check the result before you use it. Everything it does can be undone.

8. Fair use

Don't use Bluehour to make or share anything illegal, including sexual content involving minors, or content that infringes someone else's rights. Don't attack, overload or scrape the service, get around its limits, or use automated means to use the AI. We may suspend accounts that do, and remove AI edits obtained that way.

9. Open source

Bluehour's photo engine is built on LightCraft, open-source software under the MIT and Apache 2.0 licences. Those licences, listed on our licences page, apply to that software.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep Bluehour available and your data safe, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted. Keep your original photos backed up: Bluehour stores your library and edits in your browser, and clearing the browser's data removes them. We may change or stop features; if we ever shut Bluehour down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and refund unused paid time and unused top-up edits.

11. Liability

Bluehour is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost photos, data or profits, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by agreement.

12. Ending

You can stop using Bluehour and delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; if we close one without your fault, we'll refund unused paid time and unused top-up edits.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of [Province] and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you also keep the protections of the laws where you live, and can bring claims in your local courts.

14. Changes to these terms

We'll update the date at the top when these terms change, and tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before important changes take effect. Continuing to use Bluehour after that means you accept them.
